My measure of something being a word is dependent upon Firefox 2's spell-checker. "Trice" checks out.

What its actual definition is, though, I have no idea.

The definition for trice is:

trice
–noun
a very short time; an instant: in a trice.

Its verb form:

trice
1. to pull or haul with a rope.
2. to haul up and fasten with a rope (usually fol. by up).
