| Christian death metal???? I've noticed there's not a whole lot of people on this site into death metal. What's up with that. Is nobody into that type of thing or just scared of it. I love it. I want to know peoples thoughts on christian Death Metal. I hope I'm not opening up a can of something I don't want to get into with this thread though.

When you say you want some people's thoughts on the genre, what exactly do you mean?

| It's evil. Satan created it. In fact, any music that involves a guitar and drums is satanic. Jesus didn't play guitar! Organs only, bud.

This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight. | |

| Personally, I find CDM pretty relaxing.
When I ever listen to DH summoning the evil spirits on their song Undying, it just puts me right to sleep.

In all seriousness, I find Death Metal to be pretty cool. Lots of good christian bands out there play it.
Demon Hunter of course is up on my list of fav CDM bands.

| I would like to find some Christian death metal, cause Im a big fan of secular death metal. I dont wanna get into genre wars, but I don't really see Demon Hunter having many elements of death metal. |

I don't care much for death metal. I don't think there's anything wrong with it...I just don't get into it.
I'm the same way with dance music...just don't want to hear it. |

The closest to metal I listen to is Disciple! |

| There's nothing wrong with Christian Death Metal, just as there's nothing wrong with Christian Polka. Please refer to the other threads on the first page on metal.
