for me, i know she likes to wake up to hearing my voice...so i call her in the morning to wake her up and have a short conversation before she has to get ready to go to work...and then ill call her before she goes to bed and we will many times just fall asleep on the phone together...(sure am glad night and weekend minutes are free or else i would be screwed)...and when i have time i will randomly call her during the day.

i know you prob do your own thing...man...good luck on the LD relationship...its tough...i hear ya

The biggest key here is communication. That and personality are going to determine what forms of affection are meaningful.
