Stranger by the Day

Stranger by the Day
My Heart is turned away,
By what I see, by what I feel
Do my eyes deceive me?,
Is this what the world has become?,
To a painful.....helpless death must we succumb?
Lack of purpose...full of pain
Our dreams and desires O' so vain.
A virtual identity
Doe'st my mind create?
A fictional status do I seek?
Have I forgotten who I am?
Or has the devil possessed my fellow man?
It can't be True!
The shadows fall, closing in
My heart stops, my head spins,
I open my eyes... but there is nothing to see,
I'm dead to the world but yet reality stifles me.
Slithering dark iron coils wrap around my heart,
Tighter and tighter they make their mark...
Yet in my heart lies a hidden power,
For in this dark hour, a savior’s love beats within.
Through my heart shines a ray of light,
It breaks the coils with earth shattering might!
My Heart beats again with resurrected power,
The path I must walk is lit before me
And though I'm weak... I will not fall,
For a fire burns within my heart and soul,
As my purpose unfolds
And I’m comforted by the knowledge that I won’t have to walk it alone.

i like it too, cus it was the exact reflection emotions n feelings of what i was going through at that time. Just reminds me, that when life gets so confusing sometimes... that if you just hold on even in your darkest hour, God will see you through.
