What's the difference between the Fury and the T-20? I've got a T-20 and I love it to death. Am really wanting a 40 and a 45. | Apparently there was some very slight re-shape of the body, but basically the T-20 and Fury I are the same bass. I like it a lot, very punchy and not as heavy as a T-40.
The $275 I paid for the T-40 was more than I wanted to pay, although reasonable, but I hadn't seen one locally for quite awhile and decided I'd better hit it.

| Retro- Rama looks on that one. What do you have for a pickup? That would be sweet with a pizzo bridge, then the Tele switch would be able to select or combine sounds. |

| Oh darn! I forgot the pickup!
No, really, here's the lowdown on the telebass.
The body came from an SX telecaster guitar. I filled the holes and rerouted to accept the neck and a single jazz bass pickup that is hidden under the big chrome car bumper. I am thinking of adding a switch and wiring as the Telecaster Esquire is wired. If I don't do that then I'll replace with a new control plate that has no switch opening. The neck came from an SX shortscale jazz bass (as did the pickup). I reshaped the headstock (G&L style). The pickguard is homemade from poplar wood. I painted the body with Rustoleum rattle can and cleared with Minwax wipe on poly. The neck was stripped, stained, and cleared with wipe on poly after the headstock was painted to match the body. This was my second telebass. The first was a Tele Jazz Bass (2 pups). The first sounds better and plays better (IMO), but this is a fun bass too. I have about $150 invested in it as you see it here.
Did you make your graphics yourself? |

| The graphics were done on water slide transfer paper for inkjet printers. You can get it on the internet or e-bay. Just print like normal, two thin coats of whatever clear you are using, let dry and cut out. Be sure to use whatever clear coat you are going to use on the remainder of the project. The instructions say to use clear acrylic but poly does not stick to acrylic so use poly if you are using poly, acrylic if using acrylic or lacquer if using lacquer. |

| Eep.. Didn't have any more recent pictures of my bass, but here's a poser sort of piccy of myself playing it, hehe. It's an Ibanez GSR 180, with some awesome custom stickers. I'll get some better pics later. |
