Haha, all for piano tabs then? It would be pretty sweet. Keyboards don't get as much attention, but I guess that's because us keyboarders can improvise better than most, and there aren't many piano solos/riffs around.

rhat would be nice. A temporary solution until it happens could be a sticky thread with piano tabs in it. Any mods agree?

This is not the first time this has been brought up. I am all for it, except that there is no effective way to tab piano. A while back (probably 1-2 years) there was a big discussion where a bunch of people tried to figure out how to effectively tab piano. They did come up with a method of getting it out there, but it took so much time and paper space to tab even one line of music that they finally just gave up.

To that end, unless someone can come up with a better method, I think we'll stick with the free sheet music thread. If anyone gets a sheet music program however, and wants to write out their own arrangements for a song, then they are more than welcome and can post them in the free sheet music thread.

What's even the point?

If you're going to write piano tab, why not just write out the music?!! (Does piano tab even exist? - Why would you bother learning that over actual music?)

In terms of riffs, they're not that hard to figure out there's really no need for anything too fancy, just copy what you hear others play - or make it up as you go along!
