how to teach a new worship song one on one

Hello all

I found an old thread about introducing new worship songs to a congregation which was great...

but I'm meeting up with someone one on one for a short while with the purpose of teaching them one worship song.. I'm not sure whether this is for them to play as a musician or learn to sing as a non-musician. Any advice for both situations would be really appreciated!

Oh, I play the guitar and sing btw, so I'd be teaching them in that format, rather than listening to a cd (its a long story why!)

i would just try to convey it through repetition. this works for most people.

If you have a way to record it for them, either before hand, or the final result at the end of the session that would help. I do this for our drummer so he has something to take away to practice with. I just use a little handheld cassette recorder. The audio quality is nothing to write home about, but it gets the job done.
