Book Recommendations

I'm out of school for the summer, and I don't have a job or internship. So this seems like a good time to catch up on some reading. Since I'm currently in charge of the youth worship ministry and when I graduate its possible that I might be in charge of the music for a church plant, I'd like to do some reading specifically on corporate worship.

So I'm wondering what books have you found the most useful, insightful, thoughtful, inspiring, etc. in regards to worship.

Not sure about books....they are SOOOO last century. BUT, Mark Driscoll has some really good writings on various blogs on planting.

I thought Marva Dawn's "Reaching Out Without Dumbing Down" was pretty good, though I don't remember a whole lot of specifics. Quentin Schultze's "High-Tech Worship?" has some good thoughts on how we incorporate visual presentation technologies in worship. RJ Gore's "Covenental Worship" was a pretty informative look at the Puritan regulative principle.

I guess I haven't read much lately specifically related to worship.

I have a few books on worship, but nothing really that great.

Andy Park's To Know You More is pretty good.

Tom Krauter has some books that are decent, all are focused on worship leading.

Worship Is A Verb by Robert Webber is okay.

If you want to read about worship and arts stuff, An Hour On Sunday by Nancy Beach of Willow Creek is probably the best.

If you want to know about the "nuts and bolts" of worship, Paul Baloche has some great videos. http://www.leadworship.com

While not really focussed on corporate worship issues and the daily life of a worship leader, Grudem's Systematic Theology has some good stuff on worship and of course the theological knowledge throughout will help one worship and lead others with more Truth.
