its been at the commonwealth games, i know nz got a gold somewhere for it.
7s would be ideal at the olympics......heaps of countries play it.

on the crickinfo site, it said that in the 1908 olympics in france, that there was a cricket match between france and england.

European handball is very big in Europe, and it's growing in South America Asia and Africa. Rugby 7's has been in a couple of Commonwealth Games.

The 1998 C'wealth Games had a cricket comp, one dayers, but it didnt get much support. Especially with the West Indies having to split. 20/20 could be the answer we're looking for to get some more exposure. But rugby could do it very easy, and the best part is that a normal 7's tournament is done in 2 days. There are 20 teams pretty much ready to go for it too. Add in some of the smaller countries as well, there could be a qualifying tournament to fill half the spots in a 24-team comp, or you could even go a 32 team comp and put it over 3 days.

yeah, I thought the 7s was in the olymipcs already... if anyone has seen a water-sports show called Wipeout, they should have that on there...
