| what would you do? hey guys.
there's this girl that i met when i lived 4 hours away from where i am now. and i really liked her and was pretty bummed when i had to move 4 hrs away last nov. But i never told her that i liked her. but recently we've been exchanging emails and i've gotten to know her better and am liking her more and more. she seems like she really wants to be all she can for God. And she's like cuter than any girl you've ever seen.
So what i'm wondering from the guys is what you'd do in this situation? would you try to tell her that you like her over email? would you start calling her? would you just try to forget about it cause she's 4 hrs away?
What i'm wondering from the girls is what you'd like a guy to do for you in this kind of a situation if you didn't know he liked you.
What do you guys think?

| Well if I liked him also, I would want him to tell me that he liked me. A phone call is always nice. I would want him to be my friend, and always be there for me. Like if I'm having a bad day and he tried to cheer me up. I dont think you should tell her through email that you like her, over the phone would be better.
If you have strong enough feelings for her, and you think she might to, then don't let the distance stop you, but make sure she doesn't have a BF. |

| I have a friend of mine that drives from new mexico to arizona every other weekend just to see his girlfriend, and four hours ain't that bad, it's like driving from my town to denver. if you truly like her then it's worth the sacrifice, unless you're fixing up your car and don't want too many miles on it, then forget about her..........................hahahahahahahahaha that was a joke. |

Phone would be better...but in person would be when I'd try to do it. Do you have a car? Work out a time to go visit her, or set up some activity that you guys can do together once in a while.
I definitely wouldn't "just forget it", at least try to get to know her as a friend and see where it goes from there. Emails are great...but it's hard to truly get to know someone just on the internet. But, that said, don't let the distince stop you from being friends. |

| No, i don't have a car, which is part of the problem
another part of the problem is that she is a self proclaimed sexist
and she doesn't give you much if your a guy. she thinks most guys are evil (i don't blame her) so it's kinda hard to tell if she even 'likes' me ya know?

| Oh, that makes it very tough. Just let her get to really know you before you tell her how you feel. |

| I wouldnt say give up just because she's four hours away. I would definetly want to know if a guy likes me so thats always good to tell I think you should phone her and one day set up a day where you guys could hang out, that would be fun and also a chance to communicate more about the situation.

| in my years of infinite wisdom (...all 18 of 'em) I have had some experience. One time I met a girl...liked her, she liked (still likes) me, and so I made a decision. I called her, talked, got to know her all of that good jazz. After debating with myself for three days i called her and told her all my thoughts... briefly. She concured and told me that she would think about it... long story short, she agreed...for a while then had a change of heart....So I was almost dumped, kinda.
Moral of the story: Really think about it and... PRAY! If/when you do call her, know that there is the possibility that she may say, "Oh...really? Umm...well, I need to go make some cookies. Bye. *click* *buzzzzzzz*" And, vice versa of course. But if that scenerio does happen, remember, you aren't together now...so your life hasn't changed.

To the OP:
I would definitely suggest, like the others have, not telling her over email. It may seem easier that way, and thus, more tempting, but it's very impersonal. I wouldn't recommend using the phone either. If you're going to do this, find a way to talk to her personally. How old are both of you? |

| Yeah, I don't think it's the same girl, seein's how cngp90's in Cali, and I'm in AZ.
Anyway, I actually told my gf I liked her over email, and we have the best relationship ever. I think in general, it's a bad idea, though.
