I was invited to Prom about 2 weeks ago. It was possibly a bit different than your situation. I'm the guy, and I'm homeschooled. The girl asked me to come to the Prom & her school. But, the longer you wait to ask someone the more time it leaves for someone else to ask them. When's your Prom?
Mine's May 18th FYI.

Man, go ahead and ask. Girls need time to get a dress, and you'll need to match your tux and order a corsage. Good luck!

Dude asking?!? That changes everything . But yeah, I would say it's alright to ask now, it's only 6 weeks away.

the sooner the better, my sister got asked about 6 weeks early and i asked my date three weeks (ya, i'm cutting it close) definatly don't ask any later than two weeks in advance, that only leaves the girls one weekend to find a dress... they got to be original *rolls eyes* Us guys, we all wear tuxs...

btw, are you, the man, making the plans, ie dinner reservations, etc; or are you making her?

yes, act like you know what you are doing and keep it short, simple, and sweet. Keeping it simple, means less chance of screwing up

Good Luck!

(btw, do/did you need her parents approval?)
