Reported on ESPN.com. If I read correctly, Conley's father is acting as agent to both of them.

Wow, that's kind of surprising...I thought both of them would go another year. They could both improve more in college I think. They would have had a good team.

Honestly, this is the time for both of them to go. Oden is going to be a monster in the NBA and there is no reason for him to stick around when he's just taking years away from a career that will likely be great.

Conley Jr. should go without question. He's got more upside than any other PG in the draft (with a relatively weak stock of PGs). There is a more NBA-ready PG in Acie Law but he would honestly be better served going in the late first round to an established team where he will fill a niche. As much as I love Acie, he'll never be an NBA stud-type player. I'd rather see him succeed immediately with a team like the Rockets.

I knew Oden was gone, and suspected Conley would if Oden did.

Exactly. The rest of the team was good, but those two were what made it great. Why would Conley want to stick around on a "decent" team when he has a chance to make it big? Plus, he has an ace in the sleeve with his Dad being his agent, he can always go back to OSU.

Oden going to the NBA is a no brainer. I know he liked his year in college and he's a smart guy and all, but make your money while you can.

NBA Lottery

Grizzlies did not get the first pick. I am now completely justified for not wanting the team in Memphis. It's a loser franchise, with losing players and general incompetence surrounding it.

Portland won the first overall pick, despite having only a 5.3 percent chance.

Damnit. Now Duran and Oden will both be tucked away in the northwest corner of the United States and we'll never hear from them again.

Hopefully we're not looking at two more Kevin Garnett situations in the making.
