well, i will practice both ways and see which develops better, i really dont need a whole lot of volume for the bass yet, but I will see

Firstly, that practice will help out both heel up and down.

Second, it doesn't matter if you don't need it. Thing is, you will need it. You say your style doesn't require it? All I'm saying is, sure it does. Why not? Start a path. That not the way blues is played? Ahh forget them. Don't limit yourself to the
style of the music. Only to the potential. And, your motivation of course.

Ugh, I sound like my old drum teacher. Yes, I had one, back in the day. But he taught me nothing for the set. Just basic snare rudiments and cool jazz shtuffs. Then again, I didn't even need him back then either .

It's so boring here, I hate seeing myself come back to this site all the time. I'm gonna go get a job.

yeah, mine teaches me a lot of rudiments, and he teaches me how to apply them, like paradiddles betweent he snare and bass, or the snare and ride, or anything
