| I need your help!! Survey. Hey there,
I wasn't quite sure where to put this but i'm conducting a survey for a class at my bible college and I needed to poll people. I need 10 Christian Adults
(21+), 5 teens, and 3 Adult workers (that is, any adult that works with adults...which is pretty much everyone).
I need 10 Christian Adults to answer these questions:
1) What are the 3 major problems plaguing adults in 2007?
2) What do you think accounts for these problems?
3) What do you think these problems are so rampant?
I need 5 teens to answer these questions:
1) From your involvement with and observation of adults in 2007, what do you think are their three most pressing problems?
2) What do you think are the underlying causes of these particular problems?
3) What solutions do you thinka re needed in combating these particular problems?
I need 3 adult workers to answer these questions:

2) What do you think are the underlying causes of these particular problems?
3) What solutions do you thinka re needed in combating these particular problems?
Please give me your gender, age, and which group you fall into. I need this ASAP and I will post the results as soon as I have completed gathering my info. I normally dislike these kinds of things, but this seems like it could be pretty cool. I also ask that you do not look at other people's answers or comment on other people's posts. Thanks!

| I am a sixteen year-old male, and I'd guess I'd fall in the "teen" category .
1) From your involvement with and observation of adults in 2007, what do you think are their three most pressing problems?
A: From what I have seen, lack of finances, family problems, and lack of direction.
2) What do you think are the underlying causes of these particular problems?
A: I think the main underlying root is that they don't realize their worth and value in Jesus Christ. The ones I'm thinking of lack motivation because they don't really see the point in life. They don't know the Lord as He wants to be known by them. They don't see why they should work hard and do the right thing. Life revolves around their problems to some, so they don't work to better their life, nor do they turn to the only real answer.
3) What solutions do you think are needed in combating these particular problems?
A: Honestly? Prayer and love. Not the traditional sense of love like just a feeling, but a love that encompasses all areas of life. Love them as Jesus loved them by helping them when they need it, praying for them, and just living as a witness to them, and hopefully leading them to the only one Who can truly help them.
Sidenote: Not sure if that's what you're looking for, I'd be happy to re-do it if I missed the point of this . |

2) What do you think accounts for these problems?
| Human nature. Self-interest is one of the very very few constants in human behavior. Quote: |
3) What do you think these problems are so rampant?
| Because they are addictive. Each desire, when fulfilled, leaves a person wanting even more.

1) First one is that the church is dying; two, the youth are lost/hopeless; and three, we (teens) are not legalistic enough, sorry for the lack of a better term.
2) @1, there is decreasing attendance in church in many places, @2 Kids are doing things different, like expressing faith, @3 we don't do the traditional religious things that our parents did, there is radical look at who God is, ie Velvet Elvis by Rob Bell. God is not stagnant and the Word is alive and relevant to the times.
3) I preface what to say next is that the view of the youth today is like the Romans had, The youth of tomorrow is the failure. With that said @1 The church must become a more inviting place, one where healing and grace can occur, as it is right now, grace is taught, but not lived. @2 the youth are not completely lost, i see my peers seeking for that "great meaning in life," but we (teens) must be equipped to reach out and help them. that may be leadership course, or relevant bible studies (how the bible applies NOW). @3 Christianity is full of traditions, yet they are not what it is based on. Christianity is Love, love is not reading your bible, taking communion, but it is fulfilling the greatest commandment. Older generation may want to step back and take another look at what Christianity is. Bottom line is that we need to bring heaven to earth through love, we (the church) need to reach out side of the walls and touch the world.
Please, older people, do not take this as a bash at what you believe. I have learned, been mentored and raised by the older generation. I revere my parents and grandparent greatly.
Shalom:

Thanks,
-shane | Male, 17, I guess that would be Teen.
1.Finances/Debt, "Romantic" issues ivorce/Adultry, Family issues, ect. , and I guess Drugs/Drinking.
2.I think our current culture has a huge impact on those 3 problems. However the underlying problem would be not being 100% for God.
3. Solutions...I guess looking at those issues, a lot of it is addictions. Maybe trying to take away the temptations will help. But the best way is by having Faith in God, getting more people into church, and teaching them Godly principles. |

| Im a male, 17, So I would be in the teen group
1) From your involvement with and observation of adults in 2007, what do you think are their three most pressing problems?
Marraige problems such as divorce and adultry, financial issues like debt, raising the next generation of kids, cause every generation keeps gettin worse than the one before it..
2) What do you think are the underlying causes of these particular problems?
No hope, people have lost hope and just live for themselves. Instead of living to make others happy they become selfish and don't care if they hurt others as long as they themselves are happpy. And the theory of evolution contributes to this as well, as long as we veiw ourselves as animals we can act like animals, no moral codes etc.
3) What solutions do you thinka re needed in combating these particular problems
Mainly, peope need to live for God. As long as they keep God out of the picture, society will keep on in a downward spiral. People need to care about others and put them ahead of themselves.

2) What do you think are the underlying causes of these particular problems?
| Mainly: lack of faith in God. Or rather, a lack of being willing to accept God as being Sovereign and having the right to rule our lives. Quote: |
3) What solutions do you thinka re needed in combating these particular problems?
| Turn back to God; He's the only answer. |

I need 5 teens to answer these questions: | 1) lust, selfishness, greed
2) We live in a culture which glorifies these things whether outside of the church or in. However, they are an intregal part of human nature.
3) People are evil, and beyond that, they are the problems of our age. Every age has their sins of choice.
I am a 26 year old male seminary student.
