1) What are the 3 major problems plaguing adults in 2007?

Purposelessness, isolation, dishonesty

2) What do you think accounts for these problems?

marketing, mass media/internet, economic "success"

3) What do you think these problems are so rampant?

I don't understand the difference between this question and #2. People believed the story that mass production was their purpose, but production is so high that they have everything they could ever need or want so feel as if they are purposeless. Marketing offers limitless cheap purposes, momentary highs from a purchase in pursuit of a superficial lust. Mass media/internet institutionalizes this. In the pursuit of personal highs, we are isolated from one another. We are dishonest with ourselves in what we really want and what we really need. We are dishonest with others insofar as is useful to pursue the "high."

Self-centeredness, lustfulness, laziness

The giving into human nature and societies push towards having everything, and doing what you want.

3) Why do you think these problems are so rampant?
I think it was a gradual progression of maintaining self control to giving in. Sometimes we don't notice that things are getting worse until it's really bad.
