Pretty impressive, I know. | I never cease to be amazed by you.
How's it going, lovely one? How many more weeks of school do you have? We should start a HUGE countdown and have a construction paper chain and everything.
Now, I'm going to go update my blog sogoreadit.

I hope you wouldn't be either, but if you were, I would find it funny and I would snicker. Quote:

I no longer feel up to making an update. Which sucks. So instead I ask anyone willing to answer the question.. DO YOU ( I do mean you by the way.) USE A PICK TO STRUM ON THE GUITAR OR JUST YOUR THUMB? (or if even something else...well then, I want to know too.)
I am tired and slightly annoyed, but everything will get better. It still feels like a crummy day.
I cheated on my diet and ate a piece of toast with butter. heh. Vaminoosh though! It shall not happen again!

Is that a compliment!?!
I might do a mohawk one day soon, and take a pic. You will see how bad it is.
Andrew- be careful, you almost have as many posts in here as I do.

Adri, I have a hard time imagining you doing anything uncool. Im sure if you did a mohawk that it would be the coolest mohawk ever made.
And, yes, you are right, it does apear that the canadian members of our little community seem to be especially cool.

| I don't do just one thing while playing guitar. I sometimes use a pick. I have lots of different picks and different ones can really make a big difference in feel and sound.
I often play without a pick though. I sometimes use my thumb to strum down on the strings, but that's rare. It's a really warm sound. Usually if I am strumming without a pick, I will just relax my fingers and use them. The index finger is kind of in the lead. It took some time for me to get comfortable doing that. Now I think I can strum as fast or even faster that way than with a pick.
I use fingers to fingerpick too of course. Duh, heh. In that case, my thumb hits the bass notes and the fingers pick other strings.
It's good to be able to play a bunch of different ways. |

It's good to be able to play a bunch of different ways. | I'm much the same. Currently, however, I'm forced to play without a pick as I don't have any and I can't be bothered getting any. |

| I play with a pick because I have absolutely no skills in strumming with my fingers or in fingerstyle.
I lame. It's okay.
Hihihihi! I have to wake up in 5 hours. Goodnight!

Hihihihi! I have to wake up in 5 hours. Goodnight! | I don't really like using a pick. Maybe I am just uncoordinated or put too much effort into it, but I feel awkward for the most part with a piece of plastic, etc in my hand. The ones you place on one of your fingers though, are pretty comfortable, and you don't have to hold them on your finger or accidently drop it. Admitedly I mainly just play chords lately. I haven't let myself have much guitar and me quality time for a long while. I was practicing 'air guitar' style here a sec ago with what Jeremy said trying to picture how he does it, ( I am not at home right now) and it probably looked like I was scratching my belly the way I was doing it. I tend to use the back of my fingers- cus that is where the strong keratin- er is. The 3 middle fingers. and then sometimes the thumb.
Could Kepa not use well, um a wood chip? Or a poker chip? Nah.
By the way, I can say Metronome now. *laugh*
I don't have any style for guitar playing either Savannah, I believe this be a toss up. I have no talent in strumming either. Fortunately unlike a wind instrument I don't sound off tone all the time. ( I tend to be flat.)
HiHiHiHiHi to you Savannah. You go get some sleep soon. *slight frown* I slept for 2 hours last night. IT was a suprisingly good rest. Actually best I have had in a while.
With a pick you don't have to think as much Andrew? I don't know, to me it sounds about the same either way.

| Hello Dear Sir, I was not alright last evening. I am afraid.
I remember posting this song on another blog online half a year ago, but everytime I read it or hear the song it just makes life feel so much less awful and I feel more hope. And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
So take these words
And sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again
And it's someplace simple where we could live
And something only you can give
And thats faith and trust and peace while we're alive
And the one poor child that saved this world
And there's 10 million more who probably could
If we all just stopped and said a prayer for them
So take these wordsAnd sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again
I wish everyone was loved tonight
And somehow stop this endless fight
ust a chance that maybe we'll find better days
So take these words And sing out loud
Cuz everyone is forgiven now
Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again
Cuz tonight's the night the world begins again |

| You should probably start with, "Hi, my name is Adrianne.".
Just a little tidbit of wisdom I have picked up on over the years.
Adri, how has life treated you this week?
