| Hmmmmmmm Interesting ideas guys! I like 'em...I'll let everybody know when i think up the names for my guitar and case. Maybe if I gave my kind of guitar and case, that would help? Alvarez RD8 (acoustic) and a nice lil brown w/ orange lining hard case that has "Alvarez" proudly displayed. It's my beginner guitar. Someday I'll get an electric, and amp and all that good stuff, but until then I gots my little alvarez. Maybe I'll name him Alfie or Alvie? Because he's my little baby, my growing guitar. And the case, that's his bed, kind of like his security blanket; so...what do I name it? Or do I name it? If I had to give Alfie a last name it would be "Dornberger" (my last name). Cuz you see, he's my baby. Not that I'm going to start doing family portraits with him. On second thought, that's not a bad idea!

| Taylor is a Neutral Name, for Guys & Girls.
And personally, if I had an Alvarez(actaully, I do)(actually its my Dad's Classical). Anyway, I would name Alvin. But its your guitar Alfie is cool.

| My acoustic's name is Chip, because I used to play really hard with my pick, and I chipped off some of the finish below the soundhole.
My bass' name is Lucky, because only by the grace of God, someone bought it for me. It is nice, and I couldn't have afforded it, so I consider myself very "lucky" to have it.

| Yeah I was feeling a bit reluctant to post until I saw GMartin2R's post.
I call my guitars my 'classical', my 'steel string', and my 'amp'!
