indeed. 7-3 in their last ten. I don't really follow Giants baseball, but what would you attribute to the team's sudden success, Art?

Even beyond 7 of 10, they won 10 of 13.

1. No more national television. It was too much pressure to be on ESPN every single night.

2. Rajai Davis for Matt Morris. We did not need Morris, and we needed a young, fast outfielder. Mission accomplished.

3. More youth. The Giants had a ton of talent in AAA, and they are seeing how good that talent can be.

4. Starting Pitching. Barry Zito's last four starts have been superb. Matt Cain is on the verge of becoming an All Star. Tim Lincecum already has all star stuff. Noah Lowry is #3 in the majors for wins for a lefty.

5. Bullpen. Their closer, Hennessy, has converted his last 10 save opportunities. Their setup man, Wilson, has not given up a run since his major league call up, which is now over 10 innings.

6. Barry Bonds. He hits the ball hard, and he gets on base a ton.

7. Bochy. You know that he's a good manager.

Braves took 2 of 3 from the marlins....shouldve been a sweep but its good to get 2.and that puts us 5 away from the mets....i still have hope.Carlyle had a solid outing last night and cormier was pretty darn good his last outing.that combined with Smoltz and Huddy will help. Also our bullpen is solid now.

Well, the Tigers are sucking it up right now. They demolished the Yankees only to give the ground back by losing to the KC Royals. They had around 14 hits the first game and only 2 runs. They outhit the Royals last night again and lost 5-0. They're up 2-1 today, they really need a win. The Yanks are about to sweep Boston.

I really like the Braves bullpen now....we got rid of troublesome Wickman and now soriano is our closer who seems to have settled down...Villereal is a good long reliever and Mahay and Moylan have been lights out.Acosta and Ascanio have pitched good too.Im only worried about Yates....

The Phillies just completed a 4 game sweep of the Mets! This team is finally playing with heart and it looks like they want to win. That's 3 comeback wins in a row in the biggest series of the season.

Yankees swept Boston.
I'm still angry at how the Twins manager threw away last series, and knocked the Twins out of contention. I've never seen such dumb moves in my baseball life.

Braves/Phillies this week. Its still a possibility for the Braves with the magic number being 19 but its not looking good.I just want to finish on a good note and Cormier has pitched solidly so far today.5 innings,1R.

Again, the Tigers make me sad. The Yankees & Indians & Mariners both lost in the same day. Detroit had a 7-0 lead therefore a great chance to pick up some ground, they ended up losing 8-7 in the 10th.

How bout the tribe. I missed the game last night but they had won 9 out of 10 or something like that. I'm pumped!

Iam honestly surprised by them.If the White sox were playing better that might be one of the toughest divisions in baseball.
