At first, I was really wondering why this was in the Cars forum. Now, I know, and I fully agree with your statement.

oh come on, so he crashed a $1.5 million dollar car, he could afford another one if he wanted, as for us, we could only wish to afford one, granted it's a beautiful car but it's just material stuff.

1. I don't actually want to shoot him.

2. It wasn't his car. He wrecked someone else's Enzo.

3. Some people would say that an Enzo is irreplaceable. (Seeing as they made less than 400 of them over a two year period.)

4. I fully agree about materialism. I know I have to deal with it with my stuff. But I also think that God gave us this life to enjoy. And if someone has the means, I see no problem in enjoying, even indulging in things that make us happy.(such as nice cars)

The only thing that is "irreplaceable" is life and too much indulging in things will bring certain death, both spiritual and physical.

That's what they get for building a car that costs a million dollars.

On a grand scale, yes. As a car though, an Enzo would be hard to replace.

As a recovering car nut, I agree with you...to a point.

Still, it's just a car.

It was a 1.2 million dollar car and who cares? No matter how powerful my car is I still need to obey the speed limit.

There was no speed limit as he was on a private track.

Did anyone else freak out because that guy was standing right in front of the barrier where the Enzo hit?

Also... there is no reason Eddie Griffin should be driving that car if he does not know how to handle it. When there's a tight, slow turn like that and an imminent concrete barrier (no trap), there's no excuse for carrying that much speed into the turn. Basically, to let Griffin behind the wheel of that thing was the moronic move.

The owner of the car seemed like he took it pretty well though. Spending "15 minutes before thinking about other things that are more important." Sounds down-to-earth enough for me. Heck, I'd probably be crushed for a whole day.

Of course, I don't have millions of dollars and a whole collection of supercars.
