I'm not portuguese from Brazil, but from Europe! But I can say you some phrases as well! But you should say wich ones you want to! Even if there aren't phrases! Some traductions (?) you want to know! Tell me and I will try to translate the word/sentence!
Shut up = "Cala a boca";
I'm Sorry = "Me Desculpe";
But tell what you want to translate and I'll try to do it...

i would highly recomend getting Pimsleur's Brazilian Portuguese I, I found it to be very helpful.
I speak Brazilian portuguese at a pretty high level, not fluenty, but close. here are some phrases, and just a warning, European Portuguese does have some definite differences:

Hi - "Oi"
Bye - "Tchau" (pronounced the same as Ciao in Italian)
Where is the bathroom - "Onde fica o banyero" (remember that D's are hard, so onde is pronounced onje)
Good morning - "Bom Dia" (remember the hard d)
Good night - "Boa noite" (hard t here as well, so this is like noiche)
How are you - either "Como voce esta" or "como voce vai", either one will work
Do you have ___ - "Voce tem _____"
I am American - "Eu sou Americano"
Do you speak English - "Voce fala portuguese?"
I do not speak portuguese - "Eu nao fala portuguese"

I am in class right now, so I need to go, but post any questions or sentences/words you want translated, i will do it for you right now...

Hi is also "olá," correct?

How are you? - "Como esta." Similar to Spanish, except esta is pronounced "eshta."

Very good - "Muito bem." Words that end in "-em" or "-om" (there may be others) have a "ng" sound at the end. So it's not pronounced "bem," but more like "beng."

This website is a great resource for Portuguese.
