I'm all for the Fairtax. I think we should be taxed but not through some flawed system that allows illegals not to pay taxes or gives tax breaks to people who don't need it or earned income credit... the system is screwed...

Jason

That made less sense than Gee Dubs plan for Iraq.

The two were not completely related too each other. The first was meaning that if u believe man is inherently good, then the "lack of government" would work out in the end.

However, the lack of government turns into survival of the fittest when u have human beings that are inherently evil

Obviously it doesn't actually work. But it is the name for no-government; which is what "no taxes" would neccessitate.

Actually, that sounds like capitalism to me.

You got me there....however i was reffering more to the "everything goes" lifestyle that it would reduce to if there was no government. Whatever you needed to do to survive and get ahead would go.

I tend to think of that in economic terms. Pure capitalism is economic anarchy.

It doesn't address legal anarchy, which would be "anarchy".

It would work very well if everyone behaved out of inherent goodness; but people just don't seem wired that way.

right...true communism would work out if we all felt like helping each other out, but alas, we don't. That's why communistic societies are never truly communistic.
