FS: Jay Turser JT133 also 15watt Amp

Jay Turser JT-133 Trans Red 335 clone.

I'm going to post it on the bay before long but wanted give folks an opportunity here first.
Here's a link to the Harmony Central Reviews.
http://reviews.harmony-central.com/r...er/JT-133/10/1
They give it a 9.1 out of 10 from 20 ratings.
Music Gear Review http://www.musicgearreview.com/review-display/8768.html
gave it 4.7 out of 5 with 30 ratings.

The recently completed ones on the bay were between 125 and 145 for the painted ones. Naturals and Walnuts were much more expensive. I've seen them sell new ranging in prices from 275 to 325
Limited Lifetime warranty card comes with it.

I'll put the company's features listing here
# FINISH: High Gloss poly Transparent Red
# Double Cutaway, carved-top semi-hollow body
# Creme binding on body & neck
# Carved, contoured maple arch top
# Maple back and sides, Maple set neck (not bolt-on)
# 22 fret Rosewood fingerboard with dot inlays
# 2 Alnico humbuckers with chrome covers
# 3-way selector switch - circuit functionality is similar to Gibson or Epiphone ES-335 Dot
# Adjustable Tunamatic bridge with Stop Tailpiece
# 24-3/4" scale length
# 1-5/8" nut width
# 2" width at 12th fret
# Weighs under 8 lbs.

Plays very well, I've had a setup done on it, played it in church once. I need a new bass, so I've got to liquidate a few things. (Plus after bringing home a cheap project Strat the wife said one of them has to go )

The amp can be sold separately.
I'll sell the Guitar for 130 with shipping being negotiable.

Better pictures available upon request.

The amp is a generic 15 watt,

It's got a Kustom speaker, and a headphone jack, It would be a good practice amp.

Listing price.... Hmmm... Love to get $50.00 for it, but that's negotiable...
Make me an offer. I got it as a throw in on a trade I did with a buddy so anything I get for it would be good.

How does the JT-133 Sound and play? I've been looking into ES-335's for a little while, and this copy looks fairly tempting...

It has the typical Semi-hollow sound, the neck on it is very nice, no sharp frets, seem nice and level, the neck has a very good feel to it. Tone wise, well it sounds full and warm acoustically and has a good sustain. Has that 335 feel and vibe.

I've had a setup done on it, and the string height is good, but the action feels a bit stiff. The pickups are a bit weak, so if I were to keep it I would upgrade the p/u's, and I'd have the nut checked to reduce the stiffness of the action. Tuners are good and it keeps tune very well. Bridge and hardware is solid, haven't check the pots for their rating but they are not scratchy or noisy at all. I have D'addario XL .10's on it.

335 styles I've played are this one, an Epiphone Dot, an Oscar Schmidt OE-30, and a Samick Semi-Hollow(the LA 30 I think not too sure on the designation of that one). I have 2 Semi-Hollow's this one and a Squier Esprit. I like the sound and playability of it. It's tone and feel are very similar to the Epi Dot I played before.

My Esprit can give me close to the same tone, and the action is nice and smooth, and the P/U's are better, so I thought l'd sell one of the semi-hollows. I thought people might be more interested in the traditional styling of the JT than the Esprit...

If you want more information about anything, or other pics let me know.

I don't have good recording equip or I'd grab a clip so you could hear..

Yeah, I'd like a few more pictures as I am still thinking about it.

Right now its a bit of a debate about whether or not I need a new guitar right now. It could really go both ways, but I've read a bunch of pretty nice things about this guitar.

It's a very nice guitar, what type pics, want me to focus on any particular areas?

I also have a Roadrunner gig bag that fits it I could include for an extra 25.

Maybe a few more of the body if you could.

If I decide to make this purchase, and I can get together another 25 dollars I might take up the offer on the gig bag, but thats only if i can find the extra money.

Ok, shot some outside to see if I could get some better pics.

Also included a shot of the fretboard

The sun was actually a little brighter than I though... I had a hard time judging the pics through the little LCD screen on the camera.

If you want something else, just let me know.
