Another great one has passed on.....

Roger Bennett of Cathedrals fame and Legacy Five has gone home to be with his Lord and Saviour. He passed away this past Saturday. We saw the Cathedrals in Fort Worth at least 3 times and they were always entertaining and very uplifting. Roger drove them on that piano and was always a pleasure to listen too.

Our family loved the Cathedrals. My guess is that Roger is playing for Glen and George and THE LORD right now!

He's probably have a old fashioned "head cutting" with Anthony Burger right now too.

Yep!

Man, Anthony's death was incredible. Playing "We Shall BeholdHim", and then beholding Him!

If you gotta go.........go doing something you love.........

Thanks for responding. I'm sure Southern Gospel fans (and I'm not the worlds best or biggest) are pretty few here on CGR.

It was funny to watch him and George do their routines together were they would poke a little fun at the other three.

Hey, SG might not be my favorite genre, but how can I desert my heritage? I grew up (not saying that I'm grown up now....) watching/listening to the Gaither vidoes, and the Cathedrals have always been a family favorite. And my dad absolutely loved Anthony Burger. There is just something about the older folks in SG that stays with you, ya know?

*grin* Yeah, that was always great! Even better than Mark Lowry and Bill Gaither!
