Is the "versus FAQ" still applicable?

Assuming it is I'd have to say Superman could definately beat Flash. Supes is not as fast but he's pretty close and he's certainly more powerful and durable.

These (without the "Versus!:") aren't necessarily who would win in a fight, but you can do that if you want. Seems most of us are picking who we prefer as a character/stories they are involved in.

Yeah, I should've known better when I saw "Batman vs Galactus." That's obviously not even a fight.

Er, I guess I actually think Wally West is more interesting than Superman. But he's not the current Flash.

As far as these polls are concerned, "The Flash" is concered to be the sum/average of all Flashes, so Barry Allen, Wally West, etc

What's so great about flash if Superman beat him in a race around the world?

I believe Flash won that race.. Twice.. I think they've raced twice.. and he's lost twice.

I read a Children's book where superman won. He ran underwater to cross the oceans - thats a farther distance than running on top and there is more resistance. That means Superman is much faster.

Let's analyze that sentence for a moment.

"I read a children's book..."

Actually, let's just stop there. The Flash is faster than Superman.

Simple. Doesn't matter if you saw on a TV show, or whatev.. Flash has, and will win in a foot race.

It's important for the Flash to be the best at the only thing he's good at. But he can't fly (I guess that depends on which one), doesn't have superstrength or superhearing or supersight, isn't as legendary, and can't burn things with his eyes or freeze things with his breath. Then again, I've always loved the Flash family. Heck, the Flash comic was even the first to introduce the parallel worlds thing where the golden age met silver age. Even without those superpowers of superman, they can imitate them with the speed force if they travel at fast enough speeds. Wally West in Kingdom Come is simply amazing.

I don't know, I may just have to give it to superman as a childhood favorite.
