difference between a spider 2 and spider 3

as far as i can tell, its the name, and that the spider 3 has like HUNDREDS of useless presets. anyone else know anything more? im thinking about getting a podxt live down the line anyway, then after that, a VOX AC15CC YEAH YEAH YEAH! . but for now. a spider..

anyway, the spider 2 and 3 seem to be very similar, and i'd save a LOT of money if i bought a 2. i really want a 75watt one, and for the same price, i'd be getting a spider 3, 30 watt (if i shop wisely around craigslist/ebay, which i have)

You nailed it when you said it has hundreds of useless presets. That is the only major difference I noticed after owning a Spider II and playing around with a III.

Why would you need 75 watts for a practice amp... that's gonna be way louder than you'd use in your room... also... please use existing threads for these things, you already have one about the Spider...
