| a good practice amp i'm thinking about buying a 15 watt line 6 spider 3. do you guys think it would be good for a practice amp? it's only about 100 dollars, im thinking it should do the job well in terms of tone, volume, and portability. |

#2 | | Algebraic! | if by "practice" you mean "by myself", then it'll probably do just fine. |

| My personal preference would be to use a multi-effects processor w/earphones for practice.

| I've played that amp a few times. It's nice enough, however, might I recommend a Roland Cube. Around the same price, but great tones. |

| That is a nice little amp for the price. I have one and it is plenty loud enough for practicing in my room. It's a lot of fun to play around with, I like it a lot. Certianly worth the 100 bucks. I'd say go for it.

| +1. I use the Line 6 UX1 for practice and getting song ideas down. |

#9 | | Not never but now. | I don't have any experience with that amp, but if you want some bang for your buck try out the Marshall MG10CD. Can't beat $70. |

If you're not looking for something expensive, try an Epiphone Valve Jr. All tube, and plenty loud enough for practice.
