What about Incubus? Mike Enezieger is probaly the most Musically talented guitarist out there right now... I have a couple of interview that he's in with Guitar Player magazine and I can barely follow all of his musical Jargon... Check it out...

You have got to be kidding. First the vocalist thread, now this? Just because a band is catchy and popular (for now) doesn't mean they are the best at their instruments or anything. Geez.

Brother, sit down and listen the MUSIC. It's really good. They are'nt just some fling me by toss around hokey-pokey texas square dance group (What a sterotype of texas eh? lol! JS Jkn!)
They are really good man... They know thier stuff. Mike has been playing instuments since he was really young and he picked up guitar at like ten... Even if I hated Incubus, I couldn't deny that mike is great guitarist. See ya' at the Ranch cowboy!

I vote the beatles cause none of those groups guitar players has made any world-changing impact in guitarland yet.

and steve vai. if any one wants any new names on the list, post them again, and let me know, I'll add them, and the names for the guitarists of the bands in the poll would be appreciated, so I can put them in too. Oh, and Steve Vai rules.

Was this a joke on them or me?

I like them and I deny that he is "great."

*Ahem* Nirvana

Like them or hate them the fact that they had a huge impact is undenyable. That being said- I don't think Kurt Cobain was "great" at all.

yeah, he sucked at guitar, I could play almost all of his stuff after about 2 months of playing or something. But he had a huge influence on music. Not as big as the Beatles, however, but still huge.

I never seen the doors on the list until now, so out of that list, Robbie Krieger gets my vote. How he managed to cross flamenco with delta blues with rock I'll never know.

I was gonna vote for Philmore, but since they are inspired by 80s rock (wailing mullet guitar solos, which is most hard to play I think) I voted for Bon Jovi (Richie Sambora). Phil Keagy is also very talented I may say, and I also love B.B. King's style. Don't get me started on Nirvana.

My "big three" are Eric Johnson, Steve Howe, and Phil Keaggy. Those are the guitar players who mean the most to me.

eddie van halen. the best of them all hands down. most of the guitarists have talent, but are not the best. here is a short list of the best:

Eddie Van Halen - Van Halen
Kirk Hammit - Metallica
Jimi Hendrix
Jimmy Page - Led Zeppelin
Eric Clapton (not from Cream, just Clapton)
Slash - Guns N' Roses
Stevie Ray Vaughn
Russ C. - Zao
i dont like stevie ray vaughn that musch, but he is a sweet guitarist. definatly not nirvana. i dont know why everyone thinks he is so great. listen to some of there songs. they sound the same in the begginging. i think the guy from Creed is good. James Hetfield - Lead guitar for Metallica. anybody who thinks the blink 182 guitarist is good, your in the wrong thread. blink is utterly the most horrible guitarist of this century. ---Matt
