Watchmen *Spoilers*

So, I've seen how many fans we have here that enjoyed the book and the characters. I, for one, am currently reading it over again to keep it fresh in my mind.

What are your thoughts on this book/graphic novel? Favorite parts, favorite characters, favorite themes?

Did anyone else think of Rorschach's reaction to the man who murdered the six year old girl when they saw the movie, "Saw"?

If you don't know who I'm talking about, "Who's Rorshach", then I might suggest hurting yourself, but otherwise here's a link.

I've read this graphic novel nearly two dozen times.

I've probably read it that often as well. I wrote a paper on determination and free will based on the character of Dr. Manhattan. I'm not entirely proud of it now, as I wrote it four years ago at the beginning of my tenure as a university student, but it still sounds cool to say that I wrote a philosophy paper based on Watchmen. I'd like to rewrite it at some point, actually, as I believe I could do a much better job with it now.

Watchmen is easily my favorite graphic novel of all time.

I'm working on an essay about gender identity in Watchmen that I think is going to intrigue some folks. I'd love to read your essay, Daniel.

That would be extremely interesting, actually. A lot of characters to pick from (we both know who the most interesting one is...)

But seriously, I think whoever wrote the movie "saw" stole from the Watchmen.
