Smile Saving up

I'm saving up my money for an Eric Johnson strat. I'm gonna paint it olypic white, put gold hardware on it, and put a pearloid pickguard on it. What do you guys think?

I'd say if you want a guitar with those specific features, save up and get a mary kay strat or build yourself; or go to custom guy.

Why an Eric Johnson model if you're just going to repaint, & change the hardware and pickguard anyway? I'd say buy an American standard Strat if you want to do those kinds of mods to it.

I think it's great and you've inspired me to buy a Les Paul, re-route it for 3 single coils, grind off the maple top and cut the headstock into a 6-on-a-side shape.

Too tame.
I think you should carve a bowl out of the body and make it into a resonator.
Maybe hack off the last tuning machine and make it a 5 string reso-banjo.

That's an awesome guitar, don't do it. If you don't like the sunburst, get the CAR one!

Well I never dive bomb, I just use it to 'sweeten' chords a little bit, and I've played one w/ five strings and I like the feel better
