The worship leader at my current church uses a Fulldrive II Mosfet, he runs it though a Vox AC15, we tried the F2M through my amp (a replica of Jesusculture Cris Quilala's very own Fender Deville 60w) and the we both agreed it sounded a little better. Another guitarist at my church uses the Tim Drive and the Fulltone OCD overdrive pedal. I have used Boss pedals in the past but because of their overseering treble freqeuncies, the truth is all Boss pedals (even Keely modded & yes, Robert Keely will admitt this himself) are very harsh for most praise and worship. i upgraded to A V2 Visual Sound, it sounds different than the F2M, we did a side by side comparisn. i wouldn't say one sounds better or worse than the other, just different IMHO.. i will say that you can do alot more with the J&H though and although i love the sound you can get from the F2M, i'd rather use just a J&H than using the FM2 and adding another pedal for leads. space and simplicity on my board is very important. i know some people will say both these pedals sound fairly alike and that Visual Sound has done a blinded A/B comparisn on youtube but that was thorugh a flat monitor speaker. It really depends on your amp too, not so much your guitar but your amp! Amp tones are very important and crucial in making an overdrive pedal purchase (as Nigel Hendroff once stated). These pedals are totally different beasts, one is true bypass and the other is not but is supposed to be comparable to true bypass anyways, so of course by it's buffer it's going to sound different. a clean boost sounds different than a distortion lol. i'm going to get a F2M just have one in the near future. Lastly, these pedals ARE all analog path, you don't really have anything to worry about. Steer clear of Digitech, Boss COSM, Behringer, and Line6 and you should almost be fine(: hope this helped!
