Unless, of course, you're pro-State holidays in church services. In which case, you probably suck.

I love it. Of course... that's a tangent.

| Well, today is my birthday, so I suppose I ought to offer some reflections.
A year ago I was...
- Working with RUF
- Employed only once over
- Unmarried
- Hanging out with my roommate's awesome dog, Gary
- Expecting to ship out to WTS for Fall 07
- Planning to work the graveyard shift for FedEx
- Expecting never to get to that Hegel and Heidegger that sat on my shelf
- In much more debt than I am now (done this summer!)
- Paying $60/month for groceries (now $200-$300)
- Twenty pounds lighter (relate this to the changing grocery bill)
- Going to sleep past midnight (now 9:30-10 is bedtime)
- Not a member of Netflix
- Unable to write in my books (now I can bring myself to underline)
- Nowhere near opening a retirement account
- Sleeping on a $40 twin bed (now a $4000 queen -- wedding gift)
- Drinking lots of beer, little liquor, and no wine (now liquor, wine, beer)
- 23
