What do you know about the University of Dallas and their liberal arts/lit programs, yo? I heard good things about partying Catholics from a perspective faculty dude up here.

I don't know a think about UT-D, sorry. You'd think I would, given the UT-A connection.

Parting Catholics? Wow. Now I've heard it all.

John Roberson, +Donny, Vershal, Dr. Worm

How about taking Church Father's names for your own?

John Roberson - Definately would have to be one of the great doctors of the Church. And a very linguistically gifted one at that. I would vote for a namechange to "Chrysostom".

+Donny - That one is easy. You'd be "St. Augustine", having moved in from a weird cultish heresy group. Plus, you have a concubine.

Vershal - How about Anselm of Canterbury?

Dr. Worm - You definately get to be Origen. Origen was a searcher and inquirer.

My buddy who went to Gonzaga to study Philosophy at the graduate level said it was one wild party. They held beer bashes all the time (amongst the Divinity & Philosophy students)...and evidently, the dorms for the Aspirants were like Bath-houses. Gay sex 24/7.

And let me add - my friend is NO anti-Catholic, he's often considered jumping over (he's an Episcopal Priest).

Okay...I'm here. The debauchery may now commence.

Really, it's more about what you prefer.

That's just me though.

ID is generally ridiculous. It tries to create some sort of middle path between science and religion that doesn't satisfy either one. It's really a cop out that is neither scientific nor religious and most certainly should not be taught as a valid scientific theory in schools. If anything, it should be a curio, like Lamarckian evolution.

Edit: Wow, I just realised this post is now rather off topic.

Why wasn't I informed about this concubine?

I've got a friend of mine thinking of going up to Gonzaga, so I'll make sure to tell him that. I'm playing with Univ of Dallas, since it's so cheap and apparently likes NSA, Calvin, Regents, or NSA grad (which would have to be followed by somewhere else if I ever want a PHD).

Duke and Vanderbilt are also very affordable - 16 or 17K/yr tuition and scholarships are easy to come by. And since it's a Div school it's not impossibly hard to get in to.

Ah, John the golden-tongued. Joke involving my wife.

And that makes it easy to get a blog title -- Proslogion. Who doesn't want that!

As long as he doesn't change his avatar. He could also be St. Arnold because he brought the Finer Things thread to CGR.
