Unhappy Choosing a major for medicine...

Hey ya'll...I'm a freshman at Johns Hopkins University and I'm pretty much really stressed out by all the different majors here. I was just wondering if there's anyone else in medical school (or beyond) that knows anything about what sorts of major to take (or any other advice). Right now I'm a public health and biology double major, but i'm thinking of switching over to chemical engineering . School is so killer on a good mood.

You should probably ask someone there at school. I'd be kind of surprised if there was no pre-med program.

Surprisingly, a lot of major universities don't have a specific pre-med program. And Med schools don't require you to be any specific major for your undergraduate work. My sister was accepted into med schools and was an anthropology major. Usually, however, a biology-related major will be most helpful to you. I'd stay with it.

A huge major at Loyola is Phycology pre-med. As long as you have the science courses in there, med schools don't seem to picky about your major. But don't trust what I say, I have no interest in med school.

Yeah, it's all about the math and science. At BU you basically can Pre-med with any major. Granted to take the time and spend the money.

I was a double major Biochem/Molecular Biology (Pre-med) and that was for research, if that helps any.
