| Is this the life left to just remember? Hey guys, my name's Jordan....been on CGR for about a year and a half or so, but haven't posted a blog..... so I'm planning to post my thoughts, life, and randomness on the blog.... you can ask me any questions you want.... whether its music or theology....let's hear it....

| I love anberlin. Unfortunatly i have like nothing of theirs. Just a couple songs i downloaded on my mp3 player. I would love to have some of their cds but no one around here has any..and im flat broke

| distractions are more than often not the escape to our problems, but the cause..... how can we face a problem, when whenever we try to think distractions and expectations pop up everywhere?..... just a thought or two....

| so I was watching Law and Order and it was about underage alcohol....and apparently 2,000 underage people die from drinking and driving..... and I was thinking alcohol is only an illusion....offers a temporary escape only to find out the next morning with a restless soul, restless stomach, and to find out that you're only worse off..... people look for fun in alchol and then peace and they get addicted, never fulfilled, always wanting more.....its how most addictions start....its just lame that so many die from it, and it could obviously be prevented......

| Amen Bro...People look to illusions and temporary high's because they are empty and unsatisfied with their life.They do not know of the amazing love of the Father.They will always be unsatisfied and left wanting for more because they are not getting what they need.They are unfilled.They are bound to sin and live according to the flesh.Sure they may be high and have fun for a few hours...but it wears off and its on to the next high.After many years of unhappiness and living for the world...what do they have to show for it?They will ultimately have traded eternal life and His amazing love which we all know of and couldn't live a day without,for temporary high's and disappointments.Satisfy the flesh for an instant,Or live forever with Him. I know who i choose.Maybe if they knew the truth they would choose Him too.Your right it could be prevented...We need to stand up and be witnesses and tell them and show them God's love for them and the Good News. | ^definitely agree.... so I was thinking about the VA massacre....and how terrible it was....this one girl that knew the guy was talking about how the shooter struck her as someone who would do something extreme, and she didn't do anything....and a good friend of hers died...... the fact is our duty as Christians is to show love to everyone, despite how much of an outcast they might be..... And ANOTHER HUGE POINT....people blame God/think that a loving God couldn't allow this to happen..... POINT #1-only a loving God would make humans with free will, not forced, but give us a decision to follow him or not....if he wasn't loving he'd force us to believe..... POINT#2-BECAUSE OF FREE WILL TRAGEDIES WILL HAPPEN....God gave people the choice to drink coffee, pray to him, shoot up schools....etc...Only a loving God would allow tragedies, otherwise he would be manipulating free will, which would go against giving people a choice..... POINT #3- Those at fault....first and foremost the shooter, he bought into a lie, you'd think it'd be more complicated but its not....he bought into a lie, and acted out of anger.....and second maybe us....we need to reach out to people that are hurting and outcasts.....if we do, we could prevent the shootings....and maybe spread some love to the world.....
