My old (not ex) girlfriend downgraded our relationship to friend when I moved from Wisconsin to Georgia because she didn't want a "long distance relationship". Now we just E-mail and talk like b/f. It's pretty cool. My advise would be the same as MrCrabby, get to know her first, then pursue a sirius relationship.

I like the ice cream idea.
