| The first single, "Well Enough Alone," is up on their MySpace. It's pleasant but completely forgetable. http://www.myspace.com/chevelle |

| I personally thought it was pretty good (particularly the bridge). We'll see what else shows up in the months to come.

| As my correctly placed thread was moved and then closed, I'll say it again: the band isn't christian.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal". |

How is moving your thread to the correct place (an individual artist forum) the same as claiming they are Christian? |

| um, the fact that it's in the Christian artists section maybe? We aren't supposed to put secular band threads here, yet that's exactly what a mod did....

Well then, how do you explain this same part of the forum having a U2, Creed, and Evanescence forum in addition to the Chevelle one? If I remember correctly, the bands that have these little forums for themselves(at least in the case of the ones I mentioned) are ones that at one point generated a lot of discussion and were also, at one point, associated with Christianity based on the labels they were on, or some of the things they said in their lyrics.

Dave FTW!
And conceived...pleas just calm down. Railing against the powers that be is not going to get you anywhere. They have good reason for what they've done, so you're better off just going along with what they have to say.

| I just like correcting people. U2 is the only one you could consider a christian band.

Once it became apperent that they really aren't "Christian bands" they already had forums and were generating plenty of traffic. No one saw any reason to elimate their forums. |

As far as I'm aware, Scott Stapp was the only one in Creed who professed(that's the key word) Christianity, and although there are a few members of Evanescence who claim Christianity(especially the drummer Rocky Gray, who was the guitarist of Christian metal band Living Sacrifice), they have said many times that they don't want to be known as a Christian band.
