#1 | | Crushy McSternum | Pay it forward: Any takers? Okay. So, in my forum-hopping of late, I've been exposed to "PIFs." That is, "pay it forward" exchanges. These are when people want to expand their horizons beyond what they would normally even pick up in a store, or order online, and turn to the people they know on forums do help them with that. I've seen it with everything from wine to coffee to tobacco to t-shirts to chainmaille to drawings.
So why not comic books?
You don't have to spend money- just pick out some comics that you either want to get rid of simply because they aren't as great as others you have around, or perhaps they're extra issues accumulated along the way somehow. Or you can pick up an extra copy of your favorite series that's not as well-known as, say, The Punisher, or Superman. They can be old, they can be new, they can even have the crap beat out of them if the reciever doesn't mind condition and just wants a good read- a "no cover, no corners, no problem!" sort of deal.
I mention this because, well... I used to read comic books. And I have a few mangas lying around. And I want to unload the mangas and get rid of a few comics, because I intend only to keep my Brath, Micronauts and various G.I. Joe comics. This leaves me with some Star Trek, some Star Wars, some old Superman (early 90s), etc.
Would anyone be interested? It doesn't have to be an ongoing thing. It can consist of a few people. If people are interested, I'll start it. If not... oh well. Guess I'll just pick a random person and send them to 'em.

| I'm interested. It might take some doing to find comics that I'm actually not interested in keeping though. Largely because most of my comics are currently in storage.
But I could pick up some as well; the local used bookstores usually have a bunch of comics and I could pick out some interesting looking ones. |

#3 | | The RED One | I would, but I have nothing to offer, my dad decided my comics were no longer "collectables" and sold them all at a yardsale.. Including my "reign of the supermen", "Funeral For a Friend" and "Death of Superman" (Which all of these comics were a part of).. And all my Batman comics disappeared. So, I have nothing to offer. Heh. Sorry. But, when I get a job my, non-existant collection will be expanded. Anyways, this sounds like a great idea. So, I hope it goes well.

#4 | | Crushy McSternum | Now that the superbowl of comics is over, maybe this can grab some attention.
"Bump," as they say.
