He's a freak man...just amazing talent. I hate to repeat "amazing" cause you already used that one, but that's the best way to explain him. An awesome athlete.

I can just see this setting up for Detroit to take another WR! Oakland takes Russel #1 because they're smart...and need a QB. Matt Millen then can't pass up a WR talent and they think that Kitna is good enough. I truly hope for Detroit's sake that Oakland takes Johnson or that Detroit trades down.

As far as Jamaal Anderson:
Well...I can't seem to find any stats. Yahoo had "didn't play" for all of 2006. They don't seem to keep defensive stats. I've checked a few other sites but no stats so far.
This is so far the most I've found but that won't give you info untill you register... I'll keep looking.
*EDIT*
Ok, I found on Hogwired.com (he's from Ark. so you'd think it would be correct) these stats for Anderson:

TACKLES.............G.....UA....A....Total
2004..................11....12.....6....18
2005..................11....28 ....19...47
2006..................6......17.....15...32
TOTAL...............28.....57.....40...97

SACKS................G....UA..A..Total..Yds
2004..................11...0....0..0.0.....0
2005..................11...4....0..4.0 ....33
2006..................6.....4....1..4.5.....33
TOTAL................28...8....1..8.5.....66

(ARGH...I hate posting tables in here...they never come out right.)
So basically in 2006 he played 6 games? and had 4.5 sacks and 32 takles (17 unassisted).
That doesn't seem very high for a projected 3rd pick from Yahoo. I never saw him play so I don't know...

Thats what i say also.Just amazing. And i cant believe what some people say about him...."drops too many balls" "speed and size is good but if you cant catch balls its nothing" "he'll never suceed" (not sportswrites people on different boards) but lets look at a couple things.#1)Reggie Ball....TERRIBLE! and he still #2) set the record for TD catches in a career at GT....in 3 seasons! All i can say is if he gets a half decent QB that'll throw to him....man.

at this point, i would say Calvin Johnson. but i truly think that Peterson is going to turn out as the best pickup. i am a diehard Sooner, and so i am probably a bit biased, but this guy's determination is amazing. if you look at a lot of his games this year, before his injury, he had tons of rushing yards in the second half. surely the defenses he will be playing against will be better, but the offensive line he played with wasn't spectacular in any sense of the word, they did start to really gel around the time he was injured. i think he will be a great selection for a team like cleveland, and may help take some pressure off Frye.

Yeah but i mean come on your O line had to be better for Peterson than Ball was for Johnson...i mean just compare the season to one game w/Bennett....wow.I think GT will be good next year also w/Bennett at QB if we can find a big step up WR.

Aparently the Lions just traded Dre' Bly to the Broncos for Tatum Bell, George Foster (OT) and a 5th round draft pick. They're also rumored to be signing WR Kevin Curtis from the Rams. That means if those go through that they won't draft Peterson or Calvin Johnson.

They also say that they're happy with Kitna...don't ask me how...so they probably won't go with a QB even though they should.
That leaves them going either with an Offensive or Defensive lineman...or a CB. I see Joe Thomas at OL, Gaines Adams or Alan Branch @ DL or maybe even trading down and taking Reggie Nelson or Leon Hall @ DB.

That means that
1.Oakland-Russel
2.Detroit-?
3.Cleveland-Amobi Okoye or Branch
4.Tampa Bay-Calvin Johnson
5.Arizona-some lineman

The main thing here being that I think Johnson will be going to Tampa...that could be fun to watch.

who is atlanta going to take?their not even on there.I think the smart thing for detroit to do would be would be to trade down and take someone like Stanton cause Russell will be #1 and Quinn shouldnt be taken 2nd and Kitna's just not good enough and i PRAY that CJ doesnt go to Detroit. However he would still shine.

Sorry....I put San Fransisco twice instead of Atlanta....Ted Ginn to Atlanta.
You're right...the smart choice for Detroit would be to trade down.
Maybe they could get Nelson in rnd 1, Stanton in rnd.2...that seems like the ideal scenario.

Hmm....i see that brings up an interesting scenario. It would be perfect for Atlanta to trade for that spot then we could take Johnson the big play reciever we desparately need.Who or what we would trade idk...

I don't know if Detroit would trade down that far...possibly.
What's wrong with Ginn...there's a decent big play WR.
I know...it's not Johnson.

Alright, I'll go kidnap Millen and you take the Atlanta GM...and we'll make a deal.
I'll give ya our #2 and a 2nd rounder for your #10 pick & Vick

Do you realize what that would do for Detroit? Vick + Jones + R. Williams + Kevin Curtis + Furry and then they'd just need an O-Line and defensive backs...taking Nelson with that #10 pick would help.
