Skillet's second album was "Hey You, I Love Your Soul" their first album was "Skillet"...though I am strangely surprised to find that "Ardent Worship" was actually their fourth album...go figure.

I think you mean Far From Nowhere. Which is a decently good album, but I still muchly prefer the first two albums from all the others, the new guitarists have speed, but Jackson had style.

Wake Up Screaming is nice as a light hearted pop record, but their self-titled album is something that is just... not good. (nice first track... then downhill after that. fast.)

agreed, and yes... I got my album titles confused. I haven't had far from nowhere in a while. Not since my nephew kind of sort of chewed it up and spit it out.

And burn out had the most aggressive guitar sound.

Since we are mentioning non-old school punk, I will throw in a word for sick of change's 2 albums, craig's brother - homecoming, and off the record - remember when. I know I could come up with others, but those are in my opinion some stand out albums.

I recommend MxPx and Slick Shoes. Their older stuff mostly. Pretty good punk rock.

For punk, try some old tooth and nail. I don't think there really is much christian grunge.
