That's just the structure I'd say; the show can be watched by seasons alone, but there are little things that carry over from each day.

I like how jack has gone rogue this time. I have a feeling the ending will be quite shocking (good or bad).
Directly quoting this:
"It's exciting, it's emotional and it just feels right. The ending fits somewhere between Jack dying and a happily ever after."

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal".

The ending wasn't bad, but it lacked shock value. It seemed like they went with a pretty safe ending which was similar to season 4's ending.

I more or less expected it to end like it did - you know he can't die when there's a movie on the way.
At least now the movie won't involve him going rogue, since there's no real logical way for him to join anything besides a Black Ops team or something like that.

If there weren't rumors of a movie (i haven't looked into it yet), the best ending for this season would have been for Jack to die, then "one week later" there would have been a funeral for him with full military honor.. then in the last ten seconds you see him peel away from the crowd, unnoticed, while taking off his sunglasses and smirking.. that would have been cool..

Yeah...
I only caught bits and pieces if the last bit, but I kinda expected Jack to shoot himself or something at the end...

It's fabulous.
It's also excellent for buttering toast.
