Exactly, they don't overdo it at all, and it sounds much better than the singing you hear from Demon Hunter, Haste The Day, Undroath, and bands like hat.

| Well I hope this is the only one with singing regardless. It reminds me of Extol's singer though.

I really doubt this will be the only CD they make with singing on it. But, seriously, after an album like Terminate Damnation, do you really think they're gonna want to go a make a metalcore album with repetitive clean vocals? Have a little faith. These guys have said many times that they're trying to play pure metal, and that they don't want to become another hardcore band, so I really doubt that they're gonna go and put clean vocals in that don't fit. And from what this song shows, they're not doing that.
Meh, somewhat. It comes across to me as a reserved version of the singer from Dragonforce, which is awesome.

| Actually I meant song (from this CD). Anyway they can find a way to keep it fresh. But other than that, they will just sound like everyone else after a few albums, going from everybodys favorite to just another.

I think they'll be able to keep their music fresh with clean vocals so long as they don't overdo them and have the song completely rely on them(starting to write using a typical verse-chorus-verse-chorus-bridge-chorus with screaming in the verses and singing in the choruses), but I highly doubt they'll do that. They'll find a way to make the clean vocals sound good and fresh without feeling repetitive.

| They have a new song up on Myspace, called "Immolation". This song sounds even better than the last one. The clean vocals sound much more like Extol's(a good thing) and the shred solo directly after the clean vocals is powerful, emotional, and extremely fast. Amazing stuff.
*edit*
By the way, anyone who's wary about the band's recent addition of clean vocals should read this. This is something vocalist/bassist Jason Wisdom said on another Christian forum I check out on a regular basis;
"We figured we would try to slowly let everyone adjust to the concept before we put up any of the tracks featuring a lot of old school metal singing. There are a couple of songs that feature Alex singing really odd and creepy sounding lines (ala Saviour Machine), and then a couple others that feature more classical singing vocals like Extol or Emperor. You can rest assured on one thing...there will be NO emo-core/metal-core vocals on this album!! Anyone who knows Alex will testify that he would never be a part of that."
So, anyone who's worried about them conforming to what's popular today have nothing to worry about. They aren't going to do that.
And just for the record, I read that out of 11 songs on the new CD, six will feature clean vocals from Alex.

| WOW!!! I listened to the two new songs...and I thought their first album was un-beatable...I was wrong.
First off, the solos are MUCH better, longer, and the their tone has greatly improved (I need to know what gear they use). Guitar riffs are MUCH more deadly and dark. The vocals alone make me want to blow something up, add the double kick obsessed drummist with two amazing guitarists, and i'm in heaven.
I am getting that CD come may 8th....
-John

I could care less if its "creepy, not emo-core" i can't help but think they will end up the chorus singing metal group. 6 of the songs, thats ridiculous to me.
thats my opinion right now, i havn't heard a new song of them yet, myspace music doens't play on my computer. Even though i am upset about the singing, i havn't heard it so i will give it a chance, and i am trusting you guys that its different singing.
but i am still bummed out right now. I hope this album impresses.
Regardless, I pre-ordered it from http://www.interpunk.com/
if you pre-order now you get a free back patch.
So, at the same time i am not looking forward to hearing singing, but you can't not wait for this album. I am so stoked on it, itell be amazing.

Trust me when I say that you won't be let down by the clean vocals. You have no need to worry. They are NOTHING like those metalcore/nu-metal bands that primarily scream/growl through the verses and then sing during the choruses. They aren't selling out to that. The clean vocals are awesome and fit the songs perfectly.
Plus, I read a review from a friend of mine who got the CD ahead of time from Ryan Clark from Demon Hunter(he has connections ), and he said the CD has completely improved on the last CD; the music is heavier and even more brutal(but not any less pure metal), the clean vocals fit perfectly, the music is even more technical, and overall, it's a much better release than Terminate Damnation.
So, since I have trust in his reviews, you have no need at all to worry. The band hasn't failed us.
*edit* I haven't heard "The Great Fall" yet

Well i hope that album is as creative and "dramatic" as TD, "Elegy" for example has that feeling of drama in it, i cn't really explain, and i mean the creativeness like classical, elegy is in parts, etc.
I'm looking forward to more solos and lead.
