One of the things I believe shows that one is mature enough to get married is whether or not they can delay gratiification. If the relationship is true and is serious...I don't see why a couple couldn't delay the marriage until they are able to physically be together.

The first year or so is the toughest (and perhaps the most important) time in a marriage and I think it is unwise to spend that time apart.
