This negatively affected my tone in ways that I just can't describe.
Then, on a whim, a few years ago I wandered into a Bath and Body Works store at a local mall and picked up some of their gentle foaming anti-bacterial hand cleansers.
The difference in my guitar's sound is so wickedly improved that I no longer feel the need to buy a new amp or pedals or even strings...EVER!
So, it's my belief that tone is in the soap.
Thank you and goodnight.

Did he? I thought Kevin recorded on it... That must've been while he was still going by Urry.

Wow I just the Newboys play yesterday and that was the first time I realized Phil Joel wasn't part of the Newsboys. . .

But this is such an old thread. Old news. . I'm so out of touch lol (well not like I'm much of a fan anymore, but I really did like Phil Joel, he was awesome).

I really miss Phil Joel, and now Peter Furler. What is the world coming to?

Does Phil still live in Nashville, or did he go back to New Zealand? It's so pretty there, and it's his home country, but I guess it's hard if his wife is American. Is he even very popular in his own country?

I would really love to see him collaborate with another Kiwi artist, particularly Hayley Westenra. She's not labeled as a "Christian" artist, but she is a Christian, and has recorded hymns and worship songs on all of her albums so far. She has a beautiful voice, and I think their voices would sound good together. She even recorded Delirious' song, Majesty (Here I Am), for her greatest hits album, River of Dreams (NZ version). Listen here: YouTube - Hayley Westenra - Majesty (Here I Am)

AFAIK, Phil is still in Franklin, TN. When he's at home. I think Jeff is the only one who actually lives in Nashville.

Thanks. I'm sure sometimes he must go back to visit his family in NZ. The singer I mentioned above, Hayley Westenra, lives in London right now. She's popular in the UK and Asia, as well as her home country. She goes home every Christmas.

Coincidentally, Phil was only a couple of hours away from me yesterday. But I couldn't make it to the concert. Grrrrr...

Does Phil do real concerts, not just youth fests? I'm too old for youth group, and I'd feel weird if I was surrounded by a bunch of kids and their parents. I really want to see him in an actual concert.

Not sure what you mean by "real concerts." But he does have some dates listed on his webpage.

Also, check out his ministry website, Deliberate People.

Well, the last time Phil performed anywhere nearby was for some youth thing, and I don't want to have to go to something like that in order to see him. Last time I checked, he wasn't scheduled to come to my area.

Perhaps you could check around at the churches in your area and see about booking him?
