We got it on the same day and eventually both joined the same guild and it just kept going from there. I've known some of the people for 2+ years now. I doubt it would be as much fun if there weren't this big social aspect to it. And 2 weeks won't let you see very much of the content at all.
This isn't a game for everyone though. But if you want to try an MMO I'd say this is the most accessible. Prior to WoW the MMO audience was a shallow pool to draw from and generally the same people would bounce between games. WoW brought in a ton of new people to the genre. It claims something like 9 million subscriptions worldwide. Nearly 2 million in North America. Nothing compares (2 U).
P.S. Why did I go for a freaking Sinead O'Connor joke?

| Grats on illidan man. Our progression kind of slowed down with the holidays, but we're on vashj and kael, then t6! I also just got pretty into pvp, farming honor all the time now, lot's of 2v2 and 3v3. got a 5s team but it's near impossible to get everyone on at the same time and then actually be able to do it.

| If I may comment on the game itself - I'm not very interested in RPG's at all, although I really wanna play Final Fantasy VII.

When you call anything with harsh vocals "screamo", it makes as much sense as calling anything with distorted guitar "heavy metal". |

| I know it is an old topic, but still, I figure I could resurrect it in case somebody can help.
I don't play the old char anymore. The server got way to overloaded and I would usually have to wait 20-60 min to get on, so I abandoned it and moved to a different server. Here is my info now
Belmity
37
Priest
Human
Zul'jin
I am coming up to lvl 40, but without a high lvl alt or any good money making professions I am way off mark for having enough money for getting my mount.
Are there any high lvl chars on the Zul'jin from CGR?
If you could help me out by either sending me some gold (if you have it to spend) or just taking some time to run me through RFD a bunch of times to collect silk to auction off send me a message and I would be forever in your debt. |

They go for around 2-3 gold per stack of 20 in the auction house. If you were horde, I'd be better able to tell you where to go, as the Dead Scar in the ghostlands contains many mobs that drop those plentifully. Its an incredibly slow method of making money, but it works if you're willing to put the time in.
I might suggest a mod called Auctioneer, if you don't have that already. It scans the auction house and calculates the current street prices for items and how often they sell, then you can automatically start an auction on items that can net you a lot of money quickly.

| I haven't been able to find a place to get a whole lot of wool.
I have been getting people to run me through RFD a bit, and I can usually get about 6 g a run from silk, but getting the runs is slow. |

That's amazing. My server seems to be in a recession or something. you're lucky to get that much from silk rather than wool at times. |

I use it not only to sell stuff, but to check the prices on stuff I want to buy.
Oh, and my character is:
