Smile What's Your Favorite Anime?
Just wondering how many anime freaks, or "otaku's" as my sister would say, are out there. My fav, thanks to Sara(my sis) is a tie between Inuyasha and Fushigi Yuugi.

Oh, sorry, but you did, right? Anime is a fancy shmancy word for japanese animation. Usually mistaken for cartoons. Ex: Pokemon, Yu Gi Oh, umm, stuff like that are anime. Tom and Jerry, uhhh, stuff like that are cartoons...yeah.

To get terribly technical with you, anime just means cartoon. Nihon no anime-eiga would be Japanese animation. The point is, we've adopted the word anime to describe Japanese cartoons and kept the word cartoons to describe our own cartoons. Same deal with manga and comics. [/japan geek]

In any event, I must say that I enjoy Naruto and Bleach whenever I can actually watch them, I have .Hack//Sign, .Hack//Roots, .Hack//Liminality and .Hack//Legend of the Twilight Bracelet as well. And one of my favourites is Final Fantasy Unlimited which to be honest leaves a lot of questions behind, but a quick runthrough of the other FFU resources takes care of that.

I'm just saying that the Japanese word "anime" is translated to "cartoon" in English. To get the actual meaning of the pseudo-English term "anime" the Japanese would actually be "Nihon no anime-eiga". You should actually tell her that. Any self respecting otaku should know that type of thing.

Gundam SEED, Gundam SEED Destiny, Just about anything Gundam-related, Hellsing, BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad, Bleach, Non-filler-arc Naruto, Fullmetal Alchemist, FLCL, and I can assure you that there are a ton more that I like that I cannot think of off the top of my head.

Martian Successor Nadesico is my favorite of all time. Full Metal Panic was pretty good, too.

I allwase liked the Guyver. It was one of the first animes I ever saw. Also I liked Rojin Z.
