two set of branches on one tree

Romans chapter 11;16 And since Abraham and the other patriarchs were holy, their children will also be holy.* For if the roots of the tree are holy, the branches will be, too.
17 But some of these branches from Abraham's tree, some of the Jews, have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, were grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in God's rich nourishment of his special olive tree. 18 But you must be careful not to brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. Remember, you are just a branch, not the root.
19 "Well," you may say, "those branches were broken off to make room for me." 20 Yes, but remember-those branches, the Jews, were broken off because they didn't believe God, and you are there because you do believe. Don't think highly of yourself, but fear what could happen. 21 For if God did not spare the branches he put there in the first place, he won't spare you either.
22 Notice how God is both kind and severe. He is severe to those who disobeyed, but kind to you as you continue to trust in his kindness. But if you stop trusting, you also will be cut off. 23 And if the Jews turn from their unbelief, God will graft them back into the tree again. He has the power to do it.
24 For if God was willing to take you who were, by nature, branches from a wild olive tree and graft you into his own good tree-a very unusual thing to do-he will be far more eager to graft the Jews back into the tree where they belong.

This passage is referring to one tree the root being the patriarcs Abraham , Isaac, and Jacob{Israel}. Israelites are the natural branches, everyone else who comes to Christ are wild ingrafted branches. Which makes Israel, and the Church, two sets of branches off the sames tree. The life of both actually flow from the same rock , that rock being Christ. We both are part of the same tree, and one kingdom. From the time of Christ the kingdom was actually divided into two, the nation of Israel, and the kingdom of Judah under the lordship of the house of David{Jesus, the messiah} in the final restoration of the kingdom there will be no division between these kingdoms will we be one once again.
True Christianity has it's roots in Judaism, and it is the root that defines the tree. A set of roots gives life to one tree, not two different trees. So if two trees have the same root then they must be part of each other, and in fact one tree.
We are actually flipsides of one coin. Israel is part of the bride, and the bride is part of Israel.
Genisis 22: 17 I will bless you richly. I will multiply your descendants into countless millions, like the stars of the sky and the sand on the seashore. They will conquer their enemies,
God promise to Abraham concerning his decendants was two fold. The stars in the sky represent the Church or the heavenly expression of the kingdom of God, and the sand on the seashore representing the earthly expression of the kingdom, Israel. The two together makes for a beautiful landscape.

Yeah, but not really.

You're making a false dichotomy between stars and sand; it's two similes with the same object: Abraham's descendents.

BTW -- what translation of the Bible are you using?

Here I am using the New living translation, but this translation of this verse is very similiar it, counterpart in the Niv, Amplified, the message, and the NKJV.
