What kind of length and tempo are we looking for? I have a few. Last time we did this I came up with some of the blues track from last years guitarmageddon competition.

Maybe a minute at the most. I like 120bpm.

A minute is hardly enough time to work into anything if it's solo guitar over a backing, imho.
Even Guitarmageddon gives 2 minutes for pure solo and about 5 for accompaniment with a backing.

Tempo could play a part in how much of a body the backing will have but I think around 2 minutes should be a minimum.

I'd go with what Gtrdave says. I wasn't really involved in the last one, so I'm not sure how to organize this thing.

Sounds pretty good to me. Anyone have a good track?

Are we sure that we only want one track? I have several good ones, but they aren't really "middle of the road" types. I have a few rock ones, a decent nu-metallish one, a couple blues, one ballad, one almost country, and a few others.

Maybe I'll just trim 'em all down and post 'em all. Then everyone can decide.

Two softer rock types. And that's all I have for right now.

I vote for the "Minor Baby Blues". It seems to have the most open space to do a variety of solo styles.

Hmmm...I've played over Minor Baby Blues and Country before so I'd probably just submit what I've already got for them.

My personal favs of those posted:
Stone Blues, Nu Metal and Rock Ballad...but I'll go with whatever wins a popular vote.

I'm likin' the Ballad. Why can't we just let the user pick their track and have them all available? I mean, this isn't a competition, just a chance to critique each other.
