Tribute to the Bride and Groom

Many years ago _______ and ________
You started down the road to today
Today you've said I do
Till death do you part
The journey has just began

My wish for you ______ (Groom)
Is that you would take _______ (Bride) and hold her close
She is woman taken from the rib next to your heart
Keep her close and safe in your embrace
To be King of your castle you must first know how to serve
May you be king in your domain

My wish for you ________ (Bride)
Its that you would honour and obey
Not as a servant or slave who's voice is seldom heard
But as a partner who will do him good all the days of his life
May there be mutual submission that you may fell replete

This union requires your mind body and devotion
As with wine, marriage gets better with age
The only difference is perfect practice will make it perfect
May you prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers
Walk safely and may God be your guide

This one was for a friend who got married today.

I was wondering how to restate the third line in the last stanza.

The only difference is perfect practice will make it perfect

How about this.

The difference is practicing the proper things in the correct way will make it perfect.

Nonono. That rephrase is much more awkward than the original.
