I nominate "The Darkest Night" by Sith if Blades.

The Darkest Night

Your darkest night is never ending,
The dark wraps your body,
Your mind it’s bending,

The twisted laughter of demons hangs,
On twisted harp string,
To which angels once sang,

This shrouded evil so long has slept,
But it’s breaking the locks,
On the cage that it was kept,

On this darkest night,
Blood flows from the wrist,
Of one over come by fright,

The demons dance circles,
Around a mind held by fear,
Their cackling laugher,
Their merciless cries,
Are inaudible to hear,

This lost soul, abandoned in the dark,
Feels lost and forgotten,
She no longer feels hopes last spark,

And while angels weep,
She becomes sorrow’s child,
Taking the pain she keeps,
Turning it to blood flowing wild,

She pleads for a way,
To escape the dark,
For light of day,
And the sound of the lark,

Behold, the angels hold their hands out to her,
Their light radiant,
They promise to heal her,

But her blood scarred wrists,
Are still blind to the light,
What hope has she left?
This is her darkest night,

But there walks one mortal,
His love for her flows,
He takes her in his arms,
And for once in her life she knows,

He shows her the way to take angels’ hand,
And they lead her away,
To a whole new land,

They strip her of the fear,
And pain she once felt,
And the demons punishment,
To them was delt,

Now her darkest night,
Has come to an end,
She knows she is loved,
And her bleeding wrists,
Come to an end.

*edit* Oh, sorry Skeeter.. Didn't realize that I was supposed to post the whole thing.. Thanks.

ToVal...

The valley of one's inner soul
speaks with the highest regards...
What praise leaks from your lips?
Be quiet? NO! Shout loud!
Shout with all your might to be free...
See amid the restless noise that
glares from beneath with such poise.
Stand tall, never to fall always in awe...
As the inner soul spoke I listened with great abound
so that I may always be found
Never again in that trance may I always dance....

I like this one by Skeeter:

Looking in windows on Main Street
breaking our feet to the backbeat
a brick will be our drumstick
a crash cymbal for the wicked

Play the drums again! and we'll
dance in 4/4 time and shout
aloud with the crowd
the chant we never
learned in school.

In the middle of the night
We'll smoke them out!
We'll smoke them out!
Hold your virtue tight
and believe in yourself.

Blink in perfect sync
with the sound of a
thousand beating hearts.
We'll link our arms
and raise our voice
as if we had a choice.

So I shall nominate it!
