one of my life issues include, I hate to admit it,but i am very lazy when it comes to schoolwork,i'd rather play guitar i guess,i have the most problem with math...i short circuit whenever i pick up my math book.I also have a quick temper that i've been trying to control.

I am a Christian.(a condensed version of what i had said before.))no offence to you who belive this way,but i am very against the 'once saved, always saved' standpoint on Christianity.(I can give reasons if you wish)
| Perhaps the person really was not a christian. Or else like David he was a christian but fell away from God. I have never fully thought what I believe regarding this. Please, do share. Why would you stop being a christian once you know the truth? Quote:
A couple verses I've been memorizing are really cool..Psalms 27:1-2, "The Lord is my light and my salvation;whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strentgh
of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell."

| I don't know why you would, but in Hebrews 6:4-7 it says," For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,
And have tasted the good word of God,and the powers of the world to come,
If they shall fall away,to renew them again unto repentance;seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to open shame".
I know quite a few people who think as long as yo're saved,it doesn't matter if you slide back into a life of sin, you're still saved.
I think this passage makes it clear that those who fell away were christians, seeing as they had become partakers the Holy Ghost. Quote: |

| I talked to Lee, he said that asking a question that takes some response is okay.
I go to Cabongs blog for my lurking.
And with that whole "once saved always saved" I was confused for along time (still sometimes am) because the church I used to attend was split, but not to a drastic point...and some thought "once saved always saved" and others believed "walk the talk" and other believed...something different.
Have you found a church yet? |

| Not really,we have found one for the near future, but we are still looking.
The pastor at the church said in his own words,"...But if i were go back to the bondage of sin,i would be seperated from God,in this life only, not for eternity". That doesn't sound right to me.

That is a weird statement. Once you ask Jesus into your life, he never leaves, no matter what you do. He's there for good. But, if what that pastor says would be true, how could God let someone who was seperated from him all his life into heaven? "Good" people can't get to heaven. |

That's as far as I've understood it. But like I said, I get confused on this point.
But, then again, yes. God would be there. All you'd have to do is repent. You wouldn't have to start over. |

| i think i agree with you monkey. i think you can't just be like "i accepted Jesus in my heart, now i can sin the rest of my life and still go to heaven". you have to keep a relationship with Christ and "pick up your cross daily" and follow Him to go to heaven.
